Our Pediatric Services

After Hours

Please call the answering service (248-858-6889) to talk to one of our On-Call Physicians if your child is sick. The doctor will determine whether your child can be seen in the office next day or need to be taken to an urgent care or emergency room. Routine prescription refills will not be given after hours, but requested during regular office hours.

The doctors take emergency calls from their homes after hours. Call the main office number 248-662-4091, and our answering service will page a doctor to call you back. You can also reach our answering service directly at 248-858-6889. Please save routine questions (mild illness, rashes, appointments, prescription refills) for the morning when office opens. We encourage you to refer in our website, when practical for routine parent questions/medicine dosages/Vaccine guidelines under our Parent Resource/Is your child sick sections.

Well Child Visits

To keep your children healthy, the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends routine well child visits at regular intervals. We recommend that you call 248-662-4091, 6-8 week(s) in advance so you may choose the date that best fits your needs. The list below is our recommended schedule for Well Child Visits.

Newborn, 1 month, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months
15 months, 18 months, 24 months
30 months and 36 months
Yearly visits from 4-21 years of age.

During these visits we discuss about your child's nutrition, safety, growth and development. Also routine screening and recommended immunizations are given during the visits. In Michigan, all insurance plans are required to cover these visits and immunizations. Some plans may not cover the recommended immunizations, however, and payment for these screenings will be the patient’s responsibility.

Sick Child Visits

We make every effort to schedule appointments for ill children on the day that you call us. Please call our office ahead of time so that we can minimize the time that you will spend waiting.

If you have a medical emergency during office hours, we will do our best to see your child immediately or refer you to the appropriate facility.

Walk-In Visits

Patients who walk in with a non emergency condition will be fit into the existing schedule as soon as possible, but patients arriving for scheduled appointments will receive preference.

Emergencies

If an emergency should arise, please call 911. Emergencies are considered to be those conditions that are life threatening like loss of consciousness, severe bleeding, seizures, difficulty in breathing, choking episode in a newborn etc.
